Peregrine Falcon? id plz

recently, on a car drive, i saw a rather peculiar bird flying overhead. im not good at identifying birds and if it's a pigeon i will be so embarassed. i couldnt see its face but i saw its sharp edged wings and a dark blue stripe running along the bottom edges of it's wings and on it's tail. im not sure about the body colour tho...

Difficult to say by your description, to be honest could well be Pigeon or Peregrine, or Sparrowhawk or Kestrel. How was it flying? Continually flapping or gliding?

Impossible to say, I suggest you get yourself a good field guide, one with birds in flight would be good. I am not aware there is "any bird" that looks peculiar.

dark edge to its tail and wing shape you describe could well be a kestral but as others have said need a better description thats only a guess

it was just gliding towards the canopy of some trees and was a bit bigger than a pigeon i would say. it had a speckled body but i couldnt see properly from the angle.
