| | birding walk hello everyone
went out with the family today for a walk in the lovely village of youlgrave in derbyshire . thankfully i remembered to take my bino s with me as we had a fantastic afternoon spotting birds . here goes with the list off observed species
jackjaws / blaCKBIRDS/ great tits /blue tits /mallards/ robins/chiffchaffs/coots/wood pigeon/grey heron flying overhead/wrens /chaffinchs /house martins /moorhen /greenfinchs /swallow first sighting off the year /song thrush /grey wagtail /dipper /pheasants /two buzzards /
butterfly s noted peacock /large white /orange tip |

| | | Re: birding walk There are two lovely ones in South lanarkshire at a place called Chatelerhault country park on the river Avon. A lovely bird. We were watching them on Sunday and there was a Grey wagtail standing on a rock next to a Dipper.And if that couldn't get any better, there was a Raven gliding overhead.(first one I've seen in a while). |

Have you walked in Lathkill Dale? The Dippers are nesting under the waterfall again, as they do every year.
I was there last weekend and watched them for a while.
I also spotted my first Redstarts of the year too!
