| | | Mirror image! Just back from holiday to find a sparrow has been sitting on my nearside wing mirror, pecking at it and obviously fascinated with its own image. My neighbour said it had been in residence for some days.
There was muck all over the mirror where it had been pecking at it, and bird droppings down the side of the car and onto the drive. We cleaned up the mess, covered it with cloth for a day or two to deter the bird, but this morning I went outside to discover it had been back and repeated the exercise this a.m.
Any other strange behaviour noted?

| | | Re: Mirror image! We have a pied wagtail who does exactly the same thing as your sparrow. He attacks his image in the wing mirrors of our car with great gusto. I assume he views his reflection as competition for the local totty. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
