| | | Blackbird attacked my work colleague For the second year running a Blacky has made a nest on top of my Robin nest box at my work on the Ivy wall. I was telling a work mate about it and he is one of those nosey blighters and as I was pointing it out where it roughly was he headed towards for a closer look. I told him to leave it, but he carried on for a peek. Just as he said it had 3 young the Female came from no where and attacked him It pecked the inside of his ear and drew blood! Serves him right if you ask me Never heard of this before though, not with a Black any way. Any one else heard of attacks? |

| | | re: Blackbird attacked my work colleague Tetanus shot recommended!
But maybe the old Bird has been annoyed enough already!
I think I saw film of an American blackbird dive bombing commuters in San Francisco because it thiught its nest was at risk.
Next time you talk:your workmate will listen I bet! |

| | | re: Blackbird attacked my work colleague He is too daft to learn and listen. Funnily enough she hasnt been annoyed at all. Its in a real quiet arae round the back and the only disturbance I know its had is when I checked the Robin box and seen it incubating. At that time it never even came of the nest. |
