| | Wagtail Hi
On a visit to Keyhaven (southern Hampshire) at the end of January, I took this photo of a wagtail. It landed on a wall just in front of me and I only had time to take this one photo before it flew off again. Because the bird is facing away from me I was going to discard this image, but it doesn't look like the normal pied wagtails I've photographed down there:
Is this actually a white wagtail?
Thanks

White Wagtail is principally a passage form so unlikely to be seen in Jan. Occasional birds to summer + will mate with Pied Wagtails. |

Thanks very much for clearing that one up for me (I can safely delete it now!)

Your other pictures must be REALLY good if you are going to delete that one!
It's beautifully sharp. At least it will be saved on here if you ever change your mind. |

| | | Re: Wagtail nice shot, definately looks good for pied wagtail. i've been fortunate enough to see 3 white wagtails over the last few days, the gravel pits of nottinghamshire seem to be very good for them, as there are often a good number of them at this time of year
