If they have been fed by parents to that stage the parents must have a point of ingress and exit, so they should be able to get out. If you leave the door open a cat might get in and....

, whatever you do leave your door closed, or you just might regret it, whilst the chicks are in there they are safe, think about it, while they are in they will be flapping and in doing so strengthing there wings, dont worry the parents will show them the way, rossy. and welcome chick.

Update - All but one of the Robin chicks have flown now, last one is reluctant parents have been trying to temp it out with food for past 3 days but still going into feed it when it wont budge.

I'm afraid a sadder task is calling me now but very reluctant. A blackboard chick flew into my window. I would have thought it would see glass because I have verticle blinds but these are obviously not doing the trick so will put stickers or tape on the window. The chick is conscious and I have left it several hours but i'm afraid it appears to have broken something, possibly its leg as it is just lying on it's back. When I try to turn it over it just falls on it's back again. Parents initially kept trying to feed it but although they are still hanging around I think they may have given up tryingto feed. I'm thinking I may need to put it out of it's misery, I don't expect I could get RSPCA as it's bank holiday weekend. Any advice?

first advice is put stickers on your window on the out side
2 not much hope for the little one so you should dispatch it asap
if not sure how to then ?????????? just place it on floor and stamp on its head
