I have this beautiful bird (look at the colours! like a rainbow!) com eand hang around my house for a whole 2 hours in February 2010.
It looks like a starling, but he was alone and not in a group.
What is this bird please?

I find the sheer beauty, diversity and wonder of Earth's bio-diversity, simply overwhelming and humbling.

| | | Re: Bird ID please - Is this Starling?? Looks like a male from the blue at the base of the bill.  The girl Starlings have pink! Really.  Only obvious in breeding plumage so it doesn't apply all year round though.

I think the're getting their own back fo me putting a cowel over the chimney |
