There is a natural pond about 1/2km away from me and the Heinz 57s often come to our garden for the seed dropped from the seed feeders but this is the first time one of the females has brought so many chicks so far just for some seed so early in the year.
I do put down extra grain for them when they come, and I have a manmade pond, but they ignore that, just eat and walk 1/2km back to where they hatched. |
