Hi all, I'm currently on the Isle of Mull and need some help identifying this bird. It was very high in the sky so the pic is not particularly good. mull1 - Wild About Britain Pics

thank you! | If you’ve got four days left on Mull – you are just bound to see an eagle – white-tailed or golden.The WTE’s tail compared to its cousin is distinctly stubby – apart from being white in the adult bird. Many will tell you if you have to ask the question “Eagle or buzzard ?” then it’s a buzzard. But a distant buzzard can (and does) cause confusion. My tip is to observe its soaring flight. Whilst an eagle will soar effortlessly with hardly a wing movement, a buzzard will flap occasionally to maintain flight. Closer up and the sheer size of the eagle, and its long almost parallel wings will leave little doubt. Good luck!
