| | | Chiff Chaffs every where! I have noticed this year that there are Chiff Chaffs almost every where i go. I have never heard so many. I am in SW Scotland and I was wondering if this is nation wide? Hopefully this will be a sign of a good year for migrants |

But yes, there seem to be plenty around this year and it's one of the first calls I hear whenever I go out and about anywhere.
Makes me smiley too!

| | | Re: Chiff Chaffs every where! These are just migrants traveling through and establishing territories. Its the same over here large numbers of willow warblers and blackcaps too. It occurs every year in Late March/April with chiffchaffs. It might just seem more than usual as you have not heard them all winter. |

| | | Re: Chiff Chaffs every where! Plenty of Chiffchaffs, but even more Blackcaps + I was pleased to hear at least 5 singing Willow Warblers on part of one of my local patches. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
