| | | White bellied cormorant
Hi guys. At my local Nature Reserve I have just seen a cormorant with a white belly (see photos below) sorry for the photos I was a long way away. Does anyone know why it has a white bellie. Is it a juvie or a different species?   |

Where is the reserve? If it's in Bee's Head or Dungeness I think it's a Juvie Cormorant. |

Another belief shattered!! I always thought that either Cormorant had a white belly or a shag did.. or the other way around. Looks like I may be wrong again!!

The British race of Shag has dark belly in juv plumage, but there are other races + at least one has pale belly! |

This one has a whiteish belly, taken last week. I assumed it was a juvenile but wasn't certain.
