I always pick up road kill and put them in a safe place away from the road at my hide. Yesterday a Male Pheasant came along and the pictures will tell you what happened

I've seen pheasant pick at carrion before. What you appear to have photographed is one going for one of the easier bits to take (eyeball) |

possible that was its mate, fudgey, but its something ive never seen before, odd behaviour to say the least, rossy. |

Deffo not a mate Rossy, I picked it up from the road 3 miles away. Just a frustrated Male I think. He came back for another two shots and even fought of another Male when he got too close to the dead bird. Extraordinary behaviour. |
