influx of greenfinches.

has anyone else seen more greenfinches where you live ? round the area where i live there is a lot more this year, as the lovely song they make is unmistakeable, plus the flight display, could it be that because people are more aware of cleaning their feeders , water , and food they put out is very important ! in doing so its helped a lot more survive ? but i think its great to have them in numbers, they seem to be everywhere i go , parks, shopping car parks , and in gardens, rossy.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a lot over Staines Moor in Surrey, more than I had seen in the last 2 years. They seemed to me to disappear during the winter quite drastically throughout the country so it's good to see them back

Loads of greenfinches around here at the moment, a lot on the coast this morning. I think with the harsh winter we have had a lot of birds will have moved down into Europe. Loads of linnets returning too, a lot on the coast again I think a lot of these had been pushed south due to the harsh winter. I had 200 over today and a further 300 last week.

I saw two on Sunday. First Greenfinches i'd seen in almost a whole year.
