Thanks for that information and looking forward to hearing it. I thought I heard a Cuckoo couple of times few days past but now realising it was probably a Collared Dove very loudly defending his territory around here as Spring. I am used to the sound of them cooing at a distance in the woods and not the really loud carryon very early some mornings at the minute which confused me as the singing sounds different when so very close.

Did it deal with why cuckoos parasitise nests of some species of birds but not others? And how do they know which are which? Used to puzzle me as a lad ...

There was a document on a couple of years back on Cuckoos. I think it was part of the Natural World series, but it was really excellent I thought. Hopefully they'll repeat it again soon!
