Lovely coloured wing span

Hi there,

Took this picture, I know what bird it is, just wondered if anyone would like to hazzard a guess as to what bird it is.

Lovely coloured wingspan.

You could well be right with that. The problem I had was that the whole picture has an orange glow to it which in turn brings out the colours of the bird even more. Also if you look closely you can just about see one of the feet at the bottom left of the bird and that is pink. Ruddy Shelducks have black legs and feet, Egyptian geese have Pink legs and feet.

I'm with the Egyptian Goose party on this one, I think the sun has done a great job in highlighting the orange in it's feathers

The black line along the greater coverts, the pink foot (just can be seen) are more suggestive of a Egyptian goose to me.

That's the give away in this shot. Ruddy Shelduck also have a much smaller area of white on the wings and the trailing edge on them is also dark along the entire length of the wing.
