| | | Re: What the prey don't see er, lets not let it get to another of those cat/anti cat things, eh, that wasn't the intention!
I do find it fascintating though that such behaviour has not been taught or learnt.
Quite how Weaver Birds, Beavers, for example, know how to do what they do totally astounds me. |

Look at the way that when the feather is presented, the cat loses interest. Why is that?

Yes, the cat is a very affective predator..you dont need a video to know this.
You put it on and it will be commented on. |

The video is showing how a cat works from the prey's viewpoint.
I haven't seen this this graphically before, and thought it worth posting.
The cat seems to exploit the fact that when its prey periodically checks the surroundings for danger, it is only aware of things that are moving.
The prey cannot take an image from its last look, and compare it with its present image, and conclude that there is is a cat a great deal closer than the last time it looked. That requires a lot of brain power.
The slightest movement, however, and the prey is off like a shot. |

Yes I know, and sometimes that's great to observe, whatever the outcome. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
