Not garden birds, but I did see 3 new Coot chicks locally today. |

Anyone else got any juv garden birds? | Well I am sure we have a baby Green finch, its small and fluffy with a small hint of green and spent most of days moving between water, feeder and then fence and just sat most of the time, I could have probable stepped outside and picked it up it was that slow, hence sadly due to alot of cats around us I hope it will be ok! |

Young Greenfinches (and I suspect it is still too early for them) are the same size as the adults and with stripey breasts and similar wing and tail markings to the adults. A fluffed up, lethargic bird is often a sign of illness.
