| | | My first swallow 2011 Not much of a photo but pleased to see my first swallows flying out of the gloom this morning  .I saw 2,and plenty more sand martins

| | | Re: My first swallow 2011 We have just seen what we thought were Swallows, a lone bird flying, then we saw three more. Looked on this site to see if we were perhaps mistaken as it seems quite early. We are in Somerset, near Bridgwater Bay. |

| | | Re: My first swallow 2011 Hi Kate , i saw these near the severn bridge so you could have easily have seen one.Watch out for sand martins and house martins too.House martins have a white rump and swallows have a long forked tail.All 3 have been seen already. |
