| | | Central London raptor bonus Just seen on the Londonbirders web site that today over Regent's Park 8 Buzzards, a Peregrine, a pair of Sparrowhawks + a pair of Kestrels were recorded - pretty impressive for the centre of the metropolis!
It helps that the guy who recorded them works in the park + is responsible for the waterfowl collection there. There's little that gets past Tony who records some amazing species here. |

| | | Re: Central London raptor bonus That is a great list. Although I think Sparrowhawk and Kestrel sightings are fairly reliable there.
Isn't that the guy that spotted the Osprey flying over the park? Talk about being eagle-eyed.

He lead us round on the WAB meet last year and found us a ring ozuel in central London! He spotted a hoopoe there last year too! |

| | | Re: Central London raptor bonus Tony keeps an excellent blog of his sightings in the park: Regent's Park Birds. (I hope I'm allowed to post this link.) He takes wonderful photos.
Kestrels certainly breed in the Park, though I don't believe Sparrowhawks have for a few years. Tony has indeed spotted Ospreys, several times.
