First Sand Martins today 19th March

Pair Sand Martins today on the River Severn here in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

Interestingly they was flying in the nesting area from 2010. I wonder if these are the same birds ,returning to the same spot as last year do people think?

A pair nested last year in a large hole in a stone wall along the river embankment.

Any other Sand Martin /House Martin sightings in the midlands?

house martins wont be arriving until later on but on tuesday (15th) i spotted around ten sand martins at the holme pierrepont watersports centre in nottingham
