hello again all just a wee question..
the last 2 weeks here in the highlands there has been a considerable amount of snow and i am wondering if any birds will have began newsting and if so how will they cope with it. thanks

We have cameras in three boxes, and no serious nest building is taking place yet. Moss and other bits are being taken into Box 1 and Box 2 - and taken out again. Two days ago, Box 2 was looking promising - then the next day it was empty again! However, I've just checked the playback of today's photos, and Box 2 has again been (sparsely) furnished!

You can see photos on our website - but it hasn't been updated since Monday.

Certainly quite a few birds down south are nesting + around London Egyptian Geese + Tawny Owls have been seen with young + birds like Blackbirds + Robins are collecting either nest material or food for young.

Severe weather may result in mortality for some species, but many species can lay later clutches.
