| | | Re: M40 Red Kites I had a day out yesterday on the Cholsey and Wallingford Railway. There were Red Kites at both ends of the line with some superb views particularly at Wallingford. The kites were between 20 and 30 yards away and at rooftop height. When I get the films developed if any of the pics come out ok I'll try and upload em to the Gallery.

Will be getting a cheap chicken as soon as I can be sure of some decent weather and heading in that direction. | Also just outside Stokenchurch, point the car towards the BT Tower just west of the village, there is a reserve just about a mile away, well signed. Park up and walk along the path for a spectacular viewing point about 80metre above the M40. |

So thanks for that precise location. I'll get up there soon.
Cheers,
Bryan

| | | Re: M40 Red Kites There's a cafe at Studley Green (on the A40 between High Wycombe and Stokenchurch) where they feed the Red Kites. You'll be able to save your chicken for your own dinner! |

Jim | I remember driving through Watlington on the way back from Grey's Court (trying to bypass Henley-on-Thames to get back onto the M40, because the regatta was on) and seeing about 20 red kites all swooping down into one of the gardens there. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
