| | New nestbox cam We now have a camera in a third box, but this gives side-on views. There is also a camera showing views from above, but it's an old one that only works intermittently. We're thinking of replacing it before the nesting season starts - it's the one that has been used in Box1 for 6 years.
Here's a pic from the new camera - there are more on our bluetit website, Monday 15th Jan (cont), where there is also info about the set-up. Malcolm & Elizabeth's Bluetit Pages

I'll be tuning in when things get going in the box Elizabeth. I checked out our school one, ready for kick-off. Wish we could stream pictures like yours. It's such a fantastic tool for education.

| | | Re: New nestbox cam The iCode system is ideal for this type of multi-camera system. It is the same system that I use at the Barn Owl Centre. Nice to see some good quality cameras being used Elizabeth as this is where most systems are let down. I've just installed aa AXIS network IP camera and IR lighting running via a wireless ethernet bridge at the bungalow I'm renting. Access the Camera here if you wish to see the setup. | | | Re: New nestbox cam We are working on "Plan B" for the new box! The bluetit that visits regularly several times a day (almost certainly the one that roosts there every night) is not happy about the piece of glass that separates the nesting compartment from the camera section. It frequently displays to its reflection, as shown by the views from the top and side cameras here.
