| | | Where to go Hi there
I have just got the wife into birdwatching with me.I have taken her to Kingsbury water park and Sandwell Valley but are there any other good places within an hours drive of Birmingham?
We like to sit in a hide and relax so anywhere with a hide is good.
Also any info on when Middleton lakes is opening?
Thanks |

| | | Re: Where to go After some research on the internet Brandon Marsh looks a good place to check out.
As for Middleton Lakes it seems plenty of photoes about of the place and sightings list but RSPB saying it's not open yet. Sightings 2011: |

| | | Re: Where to go Go to Broomey Croft car park at Kingsbury Water Park and take a walk to the 3 hides there..Loads to see there.
Also Brandon Marsh, Coventry.
Middleton reserve is not open as yet but walk down to it anyway. You can walk around it if you dont mind getting muddy on wet days. Park at the Middleton Hall car park (marked RSPB), although the reserve carpark will be opening soon.
You can also get to it from Canal Pool at Broomey Croft...just walk along the canal towards Tamworth and you will be there in 10 minutes.

| | | Re: Where to go Had a good day at Brandon Marsh on saturday.Spoilt for choice with 7 hides .Although I think I ran into a common problem.I saw what I thought was a Chiffchaff but it could've been a Willow Warbler.Scruffy yellow chested warbler anyhow.
Been to Kingsbury water park a few times but never been to the third hide.Is it down the canal path or do I cross the field of sheep to get to it? |

| | | Re: Where to go Hi, have you tried Upton Warren? It`s close to Webbs Garden center at Wychbold, near Bromsgrove. You can park at the sailing center. Always a great day, Avocets are there now At Kingsbury walk down the canal to the other hide.
Welcome to Wab !!!
