Saw 4 of these today near a sandpit in Essex.
Unfortunately we saw a really big one days back but we had no camera
What are they please? |

| | | Re: Hawks Or Red Kites ID please? The first one looks like a common buzzard. The 2nd photo is a little unclear, but buzzards do this "coupled" flying when courting, so I'd say buzzards.
Our resident pair are building here at the moment and I saw them mating this morning. |

Anyway thanks for the ID - I will try and take some more photos if possible

I found a huge roost of them in January in California. |
