Bathtime for birds

I am watching at the moment three birds having baths - in different receptacles. A hen blackbird, cock blackbird and a robin. the sun has been shining all day so the water must be nice and warm!
Incidentally, I have never seen a wren in a birdbath: has anyone? Even in a shallow dish.

I have not seen a Wren bathe although I suppose they must. They are lucky here the filter box empties first into a shallow basin then a shallow "stream bed" that runs for about two mtrs. back to the pond. My favourite bathers so far, Goldcrest, Sparrow Hawk, Rook, Jackdaw. then all the Spadgers and Starlings.

Most of my birds use the shallow end of the pond to bath, although the blackbirds also use the bird bath. We don't get many wrens but I haven't seen them bath either.
