I saw these birds with a flock of yellowhammers. They lingered when the flock took to the air. I'm now wondering whether they are juveniles or something else. Any help appreciated.   |

Corn Buntings- yet another Red status farmland bird. I've only ever seen these at Elmley before. Nice spot, well done.

Is that Elmley in Worcestershire? There were quite a few "Cornies" around a while ago but they all got wiped out (along with Skylarks) in the severe winters of "80" and "81". I moved from that area a good many years ago but neither species has come back really since. Mostly due to the change in farming practice I think.. This may be good news. | | | |
