| | | abandoning nests i had 2 robins building a nest in a well hidden box but i havnt seen iether bird for about aweek have they abandoned it |

| | | Re: abandoning nests Last year we had a Blackbird nest and a Robin nest in the ivy very close to each other. The Blackbird nest got raided by magpies and they lost all their eggs, the Robins then abandoned their nest full of eggs even though the magpie didn't find it. Both the Blackbirds and robin built second nests.
From this I would say that Robins can be put off if they feel threatened, leave the box well alone although you may find they choose a different site this year. |
