Snap
I saw three r-l partridges yesterday
I had a freezing day out at Alton waters and the partridges were my bird of the day, they scurried off across a ploughed field when they saw I had spotted them.
Had a picnic in one of the hides and saw a g-s woodpecker and two brown rats under a feeder.
The most prolific bird was were the chaffinches just like my garden this winter. |

| | | Re: Bird of the day! Bird of the day so far today has got to be bramblings again. They are hanging around in my local wood - which is just on the other side of the road to my house - assumedly on their way north and topping up on whatever beech mast there is still around. Such lovely little birds with a delightful call.
