| | | Re: Bird of the day! lots of juvenile birds at attenborough nature reserve today, Pied Wagtails, Dunnocks, Red -crested Pochards and black-headed gulls mostly.
Birds of the day were the kestrel pair which were busy bringing food to their nest box.

Monday - Puffins at Bempton as well as the other seabirds and the Tree Sparrows. 
Tuesday - Puffins at Bempton (I do like Puffins!!!  ) and Red Grouse with young on the Moors. 
Wednesday - White spotted Bluethroat at Welney 
Thursday - Stone Curlews at Weeting Heath  and listening to the Golden Orioles at Lakenheath Fen singing for over an Hour. (But didn't get to see them  )
Today - A grey Heron fishing at Strumpshaw RSPB. (But this could change if the pager goes off!!  )

| | | Re: Bird of the day! Female Blackcap (I initially typed Redcap!) in the birdbath in our back garden today. They said on Springwatch that it was a good year for Blackcaps, and I've certainly seen more than I've ever done in previous years.
