| | | Re: Bird of the day! My bird of the day is little Penny Wren, who has built her nest in my workshop where I make the wood for my nestbox counters. The babies haven't opened their eyes yet, but when I come in they open their mouths excitedly and I see a little row of diamond shaped mouths agape.
The funny bit is this - If I spend more than 20 minutes in there, then she comes and perches on the door and says "CHEEP - CHEEP - MY TURN" (and golly, wrens are loud) so I have to go and do something else for a while.
I'll post some pictures later on - the babies are SO sweet.
