Welcome to WAB Vogel.......you have to upload your pics through your profile to either your Gallery or images and then you can post them onto the forum threads via the links to the right. |

| | | Re: Bird of the day! First of all if these turn out to be Northern Long-tailed Tits then you should alert your County recorder as these are immportant and rare birds to find. Also if they do turn out to be the Northern birds then the pager services will want to know also.
What part of Britain do you live?
Regarding how to upload a photo.
You have to click onto Gallery, towards the top of the page first. That will open up into the Gallery and on the top green bar (to the right) you will see Upload Photos. Click onto that and it will open onto a page where you can select Image Library or Gallery. For such an important bird select Gallery.
At the bottom of the Gallery you will see, Click here to upload to the Gallery. Click onto that and it will open up into the area where you can attach your photos.
Before uploading them you must have your photo at a minimum size of 800 x 600. You must also know the name of the bird (both common name and Latin name). For now you will have to use the Latin name of Aegithalos caudatus and you would enter the photo title as:
Northern Long-tailed Tit - Aegithalos caudatus
I have an issue with this name and am doing some checking on this as to the correct name to use.
Once you have sized you photo correctly click on the drop down button for the Gallery you want (use Tits for now) then click on Browse and search through your files until you find the file you want to upload. Once you have attached it copy and paste that name I have given you for the Title (including the Hyphen and Latin name) then go towards the bottom of the page and where it says Extra Options click the drop down box to show Yes for receiving e-mails.
Once you have done that click on Upload/Submit and it will eventually go to another page where it will ask you to give a keyword. Use the photo Title for this minus the hyphen. It then asks you for your camera information. Put in the camera equipment you use then Submit it. Your photo won't go straight into the Gallery as you are not known yet by the Gallery Moderators. Once they have cleared your photo it will then find its way into the Gallery.
Hope that helps.

| | | Re: Bird of the day! I forgot to say. Once your photo is uploaded click on it and look for Forum Code below the photo. You then copy the code to the right of it and paste it into the reply you put in this thread.

| | | Re: Bird of the day! Hi again,
Thanks for the help there John, i live in Holland im an ex-pat. I think posting pics is way beyond my capabilities by the looks of it, but i have invited a friend from the u.k. to join here and when he does i will send him the pics through m.s.n. maybe he can post them for me, i really am quiet useless with the p.c.
