My bird of the day is this little chap. Whenever we go into the garden, he always comes along and watches closely what we are doing. . Thought he deserved a place in this hall of fame.

No contest today having caught up with the Mega rare White-crowned Sparrow that has made its way from America to a garden in Cley, Norfolk.
Unfortunately the bird was in excess off 100+ feet away from me so getting a good image with my 100-400 lens was a non starter but I have added the best two of a bad lot of images.

Were you shooting in RAW? If so I'd be tempted to tweak the colour balance to warm it up a little as I'm seeing a slight blue cast on the white patches on his wings. Mind you my monitor is not callibrated so it might just be me. Either way it's still a fabulous shot - thanks for posting it!

Well my bird of the day is a bullfinch or should that be plural as i did see six in total and three on a feeding table at the same time

I am getting goldfinches on my feeders in the back garden here in Reading, & I'm getting six at a time, they seem to like the sunflower hearts the bestof all.
