Well done Rich on getting images of a bird that can be difficult at the best of times.

| | | Re: Bird of the day! My bird of the day (well it was yesterday actually) is a juvenile starling who posed nicely for me on the arbour roof....
It's just got it's head to go, but what a wonderful plumage they have especially with the sun shining on them! Is it me, or do the spots look like little hearts?!? |

Yes, I can see what you mean about the shape of the spots. They are such pretty little birds I think, and very entertaining.

| | | Re: Bird of the day! Bird of the day for me has to be Perigine Falcon. Seen soaring above the garden for a few minutes this afternoon. (they do breed less than 5 miles from me). Also a supporting cast of Willow Warbler in the garden and all 3 Wagtail flyovers, Pied, Grey and 2 Yellow Wagtails. Cheers

| | | Re: Bird of the day! Good to see they were succesfull Graham as they seem to be a declining species round me. Used to see them most summers years ago but haven't seen one for several years now. There was a pair reported at Messingham a few weeks back but I wasn't lucky enough to see them.
Great photos
