| | | Re: Bird of the day! No pics from me as usual, but out on the Forest this morning I saw my first Wheatear of the autumn. Other good bits were Dartford Warblers, Firecrest & Crossbills. |

| | | Re: Bird of the day! It's my juvenile Robin yet again! She's just so lovely and has been following me around the garden today whilst I've been planting up my new border.
Whilst I sat in the arbour for a well-earned break from digging in plants, she decided to come and have a few seeds I'd scattered on the earth right next to me - awww!
See how in just one week her breast feathers are coming through nicely!
Now she has her own special feeding dish in the arbour she's a regular visitor...
but she was none too impressed when a female chaffy wanted a share lol!
She promptly saw off the chaffy and decided she deserved a well earned sunbathe - actually IN the food dish lol!
She's got to be my fave atm! |

| | | Re: Bird of the day! I had many birds of the day over the course of the Pelagic Cruise but I thought this Juvenile Gannet stole the show for me.
I thought the first photo was good, but that second photo - well, I couldn't have timed it better.

John | I was enjoying my tea till I saw that
I think the expression on the gannet's face on the first photo is great, obviously thinking about what's coming
Great photos, I had a look at the report on your website and it looks a great trip!

| | | Re: Bird of the day! Mine today is a little Coal Tit that was using the feeders where i feed the birds at work, always gets bullied by the Blue/Great Tits
Followed by a Blue Tit that arrived in the garden 10 minutes ago and went in the nest box to roost(not the new nestbox), she(i think it's a she) arrives at 6-30 every evening, has a bit of a feed then goes into the box, despite it still being sunny outside |
