| | | Re: getting new feeders soon what ones should i get I really like the little lantern ones they stay dry and are great for smaller birds like sparrows and finches. Fill with sunflower hearts and they will be extremely popular. I need to order a new one as I accidentally broke mine. Hanging Lantern Bird Feeders, Britain - DinoDirect.com |

1 what pests do you suffer from (mainly squirrels or cats) - you will need to protect either the food or the birds ....
2 what sort of birds are there actually in your neighbourhood: tits and finches require different hoppers while many birds are ground-feeders &c ....

Jim | just brought 2 .. i like the look of them...
I have probs with squirrells, and they went thorough my feeders like peanuts. ( there still usable mind .Just.)
I tried with cheap feeders then checked out what i had in the garden, bird wise.
Even though i have just put out my niger feeder (again ) i have only seen goldfinches ,2 times in the garden , and im sure the last time they were there , they were tucking into the sunflower seeds.
Have you thought about a bird table as well?
welcome by the way , and dont worry how silly a question is , dont be affraid to ask.
