| | Night Time Song Bird? Hello everybody, was wondering whether anyone could help me out on this one...
In our front garden, every night sits a song bird high up in a tree. This bird constantly sings all night long and seems to be singing to another bird, although I'm not sure you can make it out on the recording. However, I just cannot figure out what this bird could be, even after listening to all the nocturnal bird songs on the RSPB website.
I live in a suburb of London, with many mature trees around live 50 metres from the River Thames and plenty of parks.
I enclose a link to a youtube video I made of the bird song, No picture as at 2 o'clock in the morning! Also, I apologise for the sound interference, but had to brave heavy rain! YouTube - Night time bird song?
Hoping someone can solve this mystery, the songs are very noisy at night, and while I'm lying there awake I'd like to know what I am listening to! I do have an idea though. Found this Link earlier The RSPB: Advice: Nocturnal song
To me, the best I can make out is a Robin?
Thanks very much in advance,
John |

| | | Re: Night Time Song Bird? Hi John- it's a Robin singing. They quite commonly sing at night, especially where there is some artificial lighting such as street lamps. |
