| | RED KITE spotted South Wales Bridgend Hi, everyone im new to this forum and have a love for all wildlife, im so excited i spotted a red kite about two weeks ago in my local town of Bridgend, the red kite was spotted not in the town centre but just outside towards one of the valleys, i would just like to share this as ive not seen any South of Wales, plenty in Mid & north of wales.
I hope i get to see a few more here in the future |

| | | Re: RED KITE spotted South Wales Bridgend I seen another on the 9th june flying above a field just outside the town centre, (Bridgend) i am thrilled to bits to see these so close to home, i only get to see them when visiting family in powys and the cambrian mountains.
I have been to see them feeding in the black mountains there are a lot there they sit in the trees and wait for the farmer to arrive, also it suprised me to learn that about an hour before feeding the sky and trees near to the feeding field is filled with red kites they know when its feeding time
