Gull id required

Hello
Could some body please confirm this is a young Black headed Gull.
due to the yellowish beak and legs i have my doubts

Yep that is a Black-headed Gull hatched last year.

Hi newdawn, welcome to WAB!
I'd go with 1st winter black-headed - the legs are this more yellowy colour before adult redness kicks in. Bill too, even more pronounced yellow when juvenile.

Agree 1st-winter Black-headed Gull. It's typical for this age group to have much paler bare parts; also note brown on the wing + the black tail band can just be seen, though much more obvious in flight.

Should be moulting to get a darker hood soon.

Thanks for the replies and for confirming the id of the Gull much appreciated.

Have only just recently started to get into wildlife photography and have been looking at this site for some time for inspiration and i am pleased to say that i have found it.
