| | Birds which do not appear to be in the "Bird Gallery" Hi All,
I have spotted this duck couple several times..this duck species does not appear to be listed in the Bird category. Do you know the name of this species?
They generally look similar to the mallard, but they are approximately 10 cm shorter and they have a much smaller beak. They generally look a bit rounder than mallard ducks.
Their voice has a much higher pitch compared to the mallard.
They seem to get along with mallard ducks.
The picture shows the head of a mallard as well, just so that you can compare the size. |

Yeah that could be a possibility, however I believe they may be a species of their own, as they are couple... |

Cheers,

| | Re: Birds which do not appear to be in the "Bird Gallery" I've always known them as "cookin' ducks". It's mallard x domestic - the little curliques above the tail make it a male.
