| | | The Sparrows in St. James' Park I'm going a trip to London in April, and am planning on visiting St. James' Park for the first time with my friend, I remember seeing a black and white photo of a man with House Sparrows eating seed out of his beard
But my question is, do the Sparrows even land on your hand nowadays? |

| | | Re: The Sparrows in St. James' Park I'm afraid you're in for a big disappointment! I too remember many House Sparrows coming to the hand for food- these days you won't even find a House Sparrow there- they have all disappeared.
Plenty of other bird life though. |

| | | Re: The Sparrows in St. James' Park Be worth popping into Regents Park too in April. Even more bird life and Close up views of a heronry which will have large chicks visible in the nest too. The kestrels should be nesting by then too and there are the water rails at the feeding platform....I could go on |

St. James Park is fun just to see the Pelicans But also has some great birds there throughout the year.

The only colony in all the central London parks now I believe | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
