| | | My Sparrowhawk Shots. Some one has suggested that my Sparrowhawk shots I took last week were of a captive bird.
I want to make it quite clear that this is simply not true. The ties you can see on the branches are there to hold bird feeders, not the hawk!
Other's registered here have seen the site where I took these shots and (I hope!) will confirm what I've said.
I hasten to add, the people questioning the shots are not members from here, but I intend to point them here should they continue with their remarks.
These are some of the shots in question: |

Can't remember the last time I saw a bird of prey tethered with a manky old shoe lace myself |

I can't see why anyone would think that these shots are of a captive bird. There is quite clearly nothing tied to the birds leg (the ties around the branch could only be tied to the toes on the right foot - and I can't see any falconer allowing you to 'secure' their bird like that).
It's a great series of shots of a bird that has presumably perched for a while in front of a hide at a feeding station - nothing at all unusual about that! |

It doesn't show EXIF info if the uploaded shot is larger than the initial screen shot, but it does if you view it large. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
