| | | Duck ID please Spotted this on my local 'tame birds' lake, can't think what it might be apart from female Pochard, anyone got any ideas?

I was considering hybrids as the neck seems long for a Pochard, and there was no male present, in fact this was the only bird like this on the lake.

| | Re: Duck ID please A straight forward female Pochard + not a hybrid. Ducks sometimes extend their necks like this when they are wary + possibly preparing for flight.
