while passing through langley mill last night at 21 30 i was surprised to hear a robin in full voice singing away at the railway station i know robins are the first birds you can sometimes hear in the morning but i ve never heard one sing at that time off night can anyone out there give a possible answer

They've been heard singing through the night, some think it's because of the street lights making the birds think it's daylight or something

Actually that's more common than you'd think . Robins, blackbirds and song thrushes can sing very late - particularly if there are streetlights around.
