Common Buzzards? Witham/Braintree area

Two of them flying high above the village today. I am pretty sure they were common Buzzards - do they go about in pairs?

Buzzards are as common now around Britain as they have been for many years, particularly so here in Snowdonia.
At the moment here, they are mainly in ones and twos.
They will be nesting shortly and these numbers will stay the same until the young are flying, when up to dozen or more may be seen flying around together, that is if you have a good local population.

Common Buzzards live up to their name now as the most common bird of prey Britain. I was once privelleged enough to see no fewer than 4 of these beautiful creatures flying together on one occasion. I recently read a local recorded sighting of 24 birds seen in one go!!!!
