I am guessing its a Lesser, but just wanted ask one of you experts to make sure. Its a new visitor to my hide today and I am well pleased as it has cost me a fortune in Nyger trying to attract one for the last few months. Hopefully get a natural picture of it if he hangs around. I didnt realise they ate sunflower hearts either.

Thanks Tracey, but I am of these people who do not like photos of birds on feeders. Despite the fact he is a beautiful bird it just spoils a photograph to me. I went back and sat for 3 hours yesterday and he wasnt there. I hope it wasnt a one of visit. Bad weather here today for several days so fingers crossed. I did manage to get a nice shot of male and female Grenfinches and a pretty distant treecreeper which made it worth while
