huge egg collection

Hello new to the site permission to come aboard, a year ago my grandad left me a large collection of rare birds eggs,i havent a clue what to do with them,i have no knowledge on such things,birds eggs like serin finch, gentoo, redshanks, periguins, hobbys, frigate, emporer pen,rock hoppers, chinstrap, many diff terns, eagle,black winged hawk,alpine swifts,etc etc, well over a 100 eggs still catalogueing them ,comes with literature ,edwardian writing,blow holes are on the sides of the eggs with tiny writing that dates and names circa 1915 some going back to turn of century110 yrs old with proof of age,very professionally done????????????????????????????any advice will be appreciated many thanks

Your collection MAY not be legal but if you don't want it anyway then best thing to do is contact your local museum. They might be able to take it off your hands and put it to good use or diirect you to another museum that would like it. These eggs will be very usefult to someone and there are numerous bodies that can posess them (police college. RSPB IB, RSPCA, universities etc etc) and would be glad to have them.

Whatever you do DO NOT just throw them away or try to sell them.
