| | | Re: Look who came visiting this morning! We had one here a few years ago, who would come for his breakfast every morning. He got so tame he would come to within a few feet and "talk" to us when we went out to feed him. He'd even use out picnic table as a "crowing post" when he wanted to make some noise.
Sadly he didn't turn up one morning and I found him dead in the road when I went on the school run. We have had a few others since, but never one so tame. They are really beautiful birds, especially in full sun. |

| | | Re: Look who came visiting this morning! We used to have a phesant that would come & have his breakfast every morning. He used to run across a side road, hide in the bushes, check the coast was clear then dash out to his fave spot when I used to leave his food.
When the sun caught his feathers he was truly stunning. I used to wait until he'd finished & make sure he got back across the road safely before I went to work | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
