| | | An unusual canada geese I was in town this morn , walking back to the car, next to the stream that runs by the car park, ducks, moorhens, coots and a largish flock of canadian geese.Out of the corner my eye I spotted something unusual.
This goose had the body of a canada goose with white neck and orange beak and feet.Obviously i thought that dad (or mum ) has slept with some other breed.
the question is Which one.?
I couldnt take a picture but if i get time tomorrow ill try and get one. they hang around most of the time down there so it shouldnt be a prob.
My guess is a greylag goose.
cheers
lee

| | | Re: An unusual canada geese Amongst our local Canada geese hordes, we have an oddball one too. The general consensus reckons that it is a Canada X white domestic goose hybrid. With the orange beak and feet, your's could be the same.

| | | Re: An unusual canada geese i think the hybrids of canadas and domestics can look pretty cool. some are a bit of a mish-mash but some can turn out looking quite good. There's a good few around this side of nottingham, around colwick park and holme pierrepont.
