Poundland cheap seed

My local poundland currently have 1.5kg bags of seed, 1kg bags of seed and 800g bags of seed (various brands), 800g (I think) of mealworm munch and also packs of 8 net free fatballs.

Not bad for bird feeding on the cheap

Have you checked what's in these *cheap" bags of seed?

This is some of it but the newer stuff is not on the site. The biggest bags did look like they were heavy on the one kind though.

people think that cheap seed is a bargain, trouble is most cheap mixes contain mostly wheat which is ok if your feeding the feral pigeon population, we have a shop near us selling 20kg wild bird seed for 7.99
looking at it , it really is pure rubbish full of wheat, and people think they are getting a bargain.

Looking at the link the seed mixes were either Bill Oddie or the National Trust. So I guess they are likely to be ok.
But as the other posters as said it's always worth checking the ingredients just to be sure.

I got a few bill oddie products from our local wilkinsons shop... and they seem to like it , was a while ago since i got some but yeah the woodpigeons and the local robin had no probs.
